good

Much better than that other one. 17k sound a lot safer a size for the frontpage.

Oh geez!

...*sniff*...poor tree. I cannot imagine it's pain... only 20 years old!---
20 years? That's a baby tree! Some are centuries old. And locust trees sprout like weeds and grow like them too! I was born in the early 80s and 8mm film of me outside our house then shows nothing but fields around the house. As far back as I can remember, it's *always* been a lawn and a large wood of locust trees. Weird! Damn it, u don't even need a dozer to crush little locust trees; just use a lawn mower. But they can get to be huge... so you see, trees are doing OK. Very old rare trees, on the other hand...

And your tree is a freak of nature 'cos it's not an evergreen but is ever green anyway. But otherwise the movie itself was ok...

that was pretty funny...

...but i hope you're not making fun of that incident some yrs ago where that old lady sued McDonalds becuase she was burned by thier coffee. Sure, she was holding it betwen he legs, but, damn, Mchotstuff is fucking hot. I mean, a lot hotter than anyone should ever need make it. Do they make good hot chocolate? I dunno, i've never tasted the shit, even if i drank it.

this wasn't directly ment to refer to her, but it probably was in my subconsious when i came up with the idea

wow

I can't believe I watch that... I cna't believe I liked it either.

accurate

All my freinds watch and worhsip DBZ, and talk about nothing but it when they're all together and have yahoo clubs based on it and... well I finally got cable, and I can really say that it's not the greatest...

Very necesary; thanks

We have to remember not to go crazy like we idd to the Japanese, somthing we regret even if weren't yet born. I have a friend at my college who is from India, and he feels that some may not like him becuase of his appearance or nationality (even thou the last time India was in the news, it was becuase they were testing nukes for possible use agianst ancient rival Pakistan, so racist folk would want to support India. But hate isn't logical so they won't see it like that).

I hope this does not cause hatred of cultures. A favorite musician of mine, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, was a Pakistani singer who has preformed with Peter Gabriel. His voice was extraordinary, some called it the greatest of ny man; his 1997 death from a heart attack saddened many. He was for peace, and although he could ahve moved to England or somewhere else with the wealth his fame (big big star in plenty of non-American nations) brought him, but he continued to live in Pakistan, his home guarded by machine gun turrets, as it is dangerous there.

If I listen to some trax from "Night Song" (great album), will people in nearby dorms asume that I'm un-American? An Arab sympathizer? A traitor? Annyoingly, I can't find out because those thoughts, even if unfounded, boher me and thus ruin the relaxation I can get from the beautiful music. We must be careful about where hate goes.

Ok, butThe PH attack WAS provoked

Here's a revised part of another review I wrote...

I've for a long time felt that PH was not horrible, and now I've awful proof. It was a *military* base. It was a war. The US at the time claimed to be neutral but obviously wasn't and it was partly the US's fault that WW2 began anyway because of US actions (or inactions, more like) after WW1 (which we also showed up late for).

Wait! I learnt that at school. See a history book: Pres. Wilson could not get support from the US for the Leauge of Nations, predecessor to the UN, and thus the Treaty of Versailles could not stand and therefore Hitler's rise became easier. But we made up for that extremely well, and came out a national pwr. and hero.

If you visit Hawaii, and see the sunken ship, you will see lots of Japanese crying and throwing flowers into the water. Remember Hiroshima/Nagasaki??? If 2 towers and a building is bad, imagine two cities lost!! But yes, that was wartime and it was needed. All the same, they got thier payback and even now too, as nuclear material stays in the enviroment for a long time-- we're lucky that 911 did not invlove that or bio-chemicals. It's UNFAIR to drag it out, and the PH film released in June sucked becuase I thought it CHEAP to dramatise it (again).

Pearl H. was more than a battle, becuase of what we learned from it. Japan showed the world that war is not glorious like it had been forever before that, when nations formally declared war, and let the country know beforehand. In the old days, we had lots of war heroes. Gen. Grant even got to be Pres. Modernly, the closest we have is Stormin' Norman.

Now we've learnt a new lesson: War comes home and soldiers don't fight it.

The movie was good, and the blood link is good. just wanted to correct you, as the new PH movie has created widespread misconceptions.

Yes it's a lot like PH

The US claimed to be neutral but obviously wasn't and it was very mcuh the US's fault that WW2 began anyway (Wait! Don't get mad! I learnt that at school. See a history book...). And it was not a cowardly attack; quite the opposite. If you visit Hawaii, and see the sunken ship, you will see lots of Japanese, throwing flowers into the water.

Now we've learnt a new lesson.

War is not on some faraway battlefield, Fought by soldiers. Even during the civil war the wife and kids could have normal lives (and why not? Stopping slavery was noble, and to the, erm, Confederates it meant preserving thier way of life). Now it's different. It can be anywhere, and they can use biological weapons or small nuclear devices, which are about the size of a suitcase or fit in one. It's a new world.

Thanks, man

Great to hear some non-US support for delivering ass-beatings. Bin fucking Laden has been in the murder biz for decades; famous since the 70s at least. It's time to stop fucking around w/ him.

And remember, Bin Laden is an international terrorist, and other countries associated w/ Israel are also in danger.

Thank you

Even thou the lost lives are FAR more important, I was also sad to see them go. When the first was hit, I hoped that it could be repaired. WHen the seconf fell, I hoped the other could stay. Now they're gone forever, and I never see them for real.

gltovar responds:
