Facebook, Myspace, and SL suck. I knew it.

You know, I always thought that Second Life, Facebook, and MySpace were crap. I only got on Facebook recently because a friend invited me.
In the March 2008 issue of Creativity magazine, some advertising and design experts talk about the future. When asked what technologies have been over-rated, they said exactly what I thought they would: Second Life, Facebook, MySpace.

They mentioned that SL isn't an appropriate venue for advertisers due to the narrow audience, that people hate ads on MySpace, and Facebook has been rendered useless by its own "applications." So apparently advertisers don't like them any more. And if advertisers don't care, there goes the worthwhile revenue.

They also mentioned that user-generated content is over-rated in the world of advertising. But here at NG, it's still good. There's a reason to keep coming here!

MySpace sucks, I've never used Facebook, so obviously it sucks, and I have never even HEARD of SL, so it CLEARLY sucks! i'm glad you share my views on the subject. Hey I completely agree with you oon FB, Ms. and SL because they are completely useless. Yet I disagree with you on Newgrounds. I have nothing against Tom, or you for that matter, but most flash that gets through on the portal and basically everything else...is utter junk. Yet the great submissions get blammed or low ratings due to it being, "boring". I come here to see the new Noir, and to try and get the worthless stuff blammed before enough people can save it. If there wasn't such a ratio of about 50,000/1 of idiots over intellectuals on here, then I wouldn't say this. Once again I've nothing against Tom, or your opinions, I'm just saying.

I always hated myspace, talk about narcissism, The whole point of these sites is to dribble about how popular you think you are, and pittifully go attention seeking by broadcasting your daily life.
Friends bugging other friends to go to these sites is nothing new, anyone who's in highschool knows you get asked to join these things on a daily basis if you haven't already, I just made a habbit of declining.
